A floor could be considered the biggest shelf in the house.
I’ve used that approach for a while as a go-ahead to store gobs of stuff on the floor in a piling system, as my dad so aptly called this method of (dis)organization.
Now that we have a simple lifestyle, I’ve hung onto a similar notion. Instead of a shelf, I like to think that our uncluttered floor is the biggest table in our home; a place to work on a project for a bit then put away to make space for something else.
I love spreading out a creative project on the floor next to the window when I have free time. The workspace always feels uncluttered and fresh and the creative process restoring.
One approach is confining, the other freeing.
Simple living liberates space and time for growth and creativity.
We do this all the time thanks for your ideas 😊
